Job Hunting Should Not Take a Break

During this holiday season we all know job-related activity slows down, however, it's a perfect opportunity to take advantage and leverage your networking more strategically.

It is a great time of year for holiday updates, but what do we write, or say when communicating to those on the receiving end.  Documentation should be short and inviting, and conversations should be engaging and energetic.

A question for you to think about whether writing in an email, or speaking to someone individually: How do you plan to share your goals & successes this holiday season?

Some thought-provoking questions for you to think about so you are prepared for a networking conversation, or writing an appealing update email:
What did you learn the past year?
What did you accomplish in the last 12 months?
What would I have done differently & why?
What did I do right and feel good about?
What was one of your biggest roadblocks?
 What activities were most fun?
How am I different this year than last?
What do you want to accomplish in the New Year

And, remember
Make the most of holiday functions
Give yourself permission to enjoy the holiday season and celebrate your progress
 Spend time on yourself
Develop your job-search checklist for the New Year
